How the Guanming Calendar Computes Your Personal Auspicious Days

Almanac apps are everywhere, but most serve the whole country one identical list of "do's and don'ts". The Guanming calendar answers a different question: how is today for you? The same date can be marked opposite ways for two different people.

Three computed layers

1. Universal almanac layer: the day's stem-branch, NaYin, and solar term — table lookups, same for everyone; this is what paper almanacs offer
2. Personal stars layer: anchored to your year branch and day stem, the engine scans each day for Nobleman, Academic, Peach Blossom, Travelling Horse and other symbolic stars — whether today is your "Nobleman day" depends on your chart
3. Element layer: the day's five-element signature checked against your favorable and unfavorable elements — matches become "supportive", clashes become "caution"

Stacked together, these produce the gold "supportive", purple "favorable", and vermilion "caution" cells on the grid.

Eight dimensions

Tap any day to see eight markers: Nobleman · Study · Wealth · Romance · Travel · Dispute · Friction · Unsettled. The stem moves outward, so an avoided element on the stem means the matters snag; the branch faces inward, so an avoided element there means the heart hangs — two different kinds of day. The filter strip highlights all matching days of the month with a pulse — worth a glance before scheduling a signing, interview, or confession.

Why chart first, calendar second

Without your BaZi, only the universal layer renders. Cast your chart once on the Destiny tab and the favorable elements plus star anchors flow into the calendar automatically. That is the point: these aren't recycled almanac platitudes, but a deterministic computation between your natal chart and each day's stem-branch.
